CompAir extends its oil-free range of two-stage screw compressors

Leading compressor manufacturer, CompAir has launched a completely new range of high efficiency, oil-free two-stage screw compressors to further enhance its successful and award winning D-Series. With the addition of ten new models, the D-Series now covers a wide flow range from 8.9 to 51.8 m³/min. The new models (from 160 to 315kW), which also utilise a CompAir designed and manufactured two-stage airend, offer oil-free and silicone-free air, in accordance with ISO 8573-1 Class 0.

The D-Series delivers improved efficiencies and produces 12% more air compared to the previous range. The compressors are manufactured to precise tolerances utilising the latest machining technologies recently installed at CompAir's global centre of excellence for screw compressors in Simmern, Germany. Over 10 million euros have been invested with the installation of new machinery, optimisation of processes and implementation of modern assembly and logistic concepts.

Electric IE3 and IE4 motors and other components all meet and exceed stringent European standards and those from other jurisdictions, providing extremely high quality and premium efficiency. All connections within the modern design are on the same side of these compact compressors, allowing for simple installation with no specific foundation requirements. Designed and built for continuous use in demanding applications with up to 45°C ambient temperatures, the D-Series features a patented water regulation system around the airend and specialist, hardened rotor coating to ensure long life. Low power consumption is also delivered, whilst maintaining the highest air outputs with absolute reliability and performance efficiency.

Total control & management

This compressor range utilises a state-of-the-art, future-proofed touch screen controller - the multilingual "Delcos XL" is extremely user-friendly and provides a clearly structured menu using intuitive visuals. It ensures the reliable operation of the compressor by continuously monitoring operational parameters - essential for reducing operating costs. Optionally this controller is available including base load sequencing for up to four units. Where multiple compressors are required, the SmartAir Master management system will harmonise up to 12 fixed or variable speed units including downstream components, so reducing the energy consumption by adjusting the network pressure to the smallest possible band. Apart from the energy savings, the compressed air management system also contributes to decreased downtime, optimum performance and monitoring, which ultimately leads to increased plant productivity.

Variable speed for significant energy savings

The RS regulated speed compressors efficiently and reliably handle the varying air demand, delivering significant energy savings, a consistent pressure and air supply. The D-RS Series features a new high efficiency inverter with circuit board coating technologies that protect against dust and humidity and respond extremely quickly to changes in air demand. Typically, savings of over 20% are achieved against comparable fixed speed compressors, through greatly reduced energy, maintenance and servicing costs.

All D-Series compressors are covered by the Assure extended warranty programme, which is free of charge and provides maximum uptime and total peace of mind for up to 44,000 hours or 6 years, whichever comes first.
